Originating in 1977, this national air carrier of Kenya started its operations flying to Frankfurt via London from Nairobi. The establishment of the airline was the result of the dissolving of the East African Airways. Headquartered in Embakasi in the capital city, Nairobi, it is partly owned by the Government of Kenya.
